Does Help Medical bulk bill?
Yes. Help Medical bulk bills everyone with a Medicare card. Patients without Medicare, such as overseas visitors, are private patients and pay a fee, so ask about the cost when you book.
Do I need an appointment to see a GP?
No, but it helps. Help Medical welcomes walk-ins, subject to doctor availability. On busy days appointments fill quickly, so booking ahead is the surest way to be seen. New patients and Gold Coast visitors are welcome.

Dr David Seton
MBBS, FRACGP
Speaks English and Afrikaans.
Dr David (Dave) Seton has practised medicine for more than 24 years. He studied medicine at the University of the Witwatersrand and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He has a special interest in children’s health, skin checks, pregnancy care and mental health, and performs IUD insertions and other minor procedures. He has trained hundreds of doctors in inserting long-acting contraceptive devices.
Dr Robert Seton
MBChB, FRACGP, FACRRM, FPAA
Speaks English and Afrikaans.
Dr Robert Seton brings more than 40 years of experience in general practice, including 36 years of delivering babies, and holds an FPAA certificate in sexual and reproductive health. He joined his brother, Dr David Seton, at Help Medical, and both have a keen interest in teaching and training young doctors. Outside work, he enjoys watching golf and tennis.
Dr Md Tariqul Islam

Speaks Bengali, English, Hindi and Urdu.
Dr Md Tariqul Islam has a strong interest in general practice, medical education and multidisciplinary care. His background includes paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry and emergency medicine, and he teaches and supervises medical students and GP registrars. His areas of interest include family medicine, women’s and men’s health, children’s health, mental health, skin cancer checks, chronic disease management, travel medicine, occupational and drivers’ medicals, and minor procedures.
Can I get a blood test at Help Medical?
Yes. A QML Pathology collection room operates inside Help Medical, so you can have blood tests and other pathology collected without leaving the centre. Bring your request form from any doctor.

Can I fill my script straight after seeing the doctor?
Yes. Having GPs and pharmacists under one roof means your script can go straight to our dispensary, a few steps away, and our pharmacists can refer you to a doctor quickly if you need one. If you have questions about a new medicine after your appointment, just ask at the counter.
Taking several medicines? We can pack them into weekly Webster packs, with every dose sorted by day and time and checked by a pharmacist. Packing is free for concession and health care card holders. Ask your GP to send your scripts straight to us, or ask at our prescription counter.
